Union Of Lights - A Photographic Journey

Jointly organized by the Photographic Society of Malaysia and Sokka Gakai Malaysia with participations from the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand, Singapore Colour Photographic Society and Photovivo Singapore, this exhibition was officially opened by YAB Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department and Gerakan President.
The response to this exhibition was enormous, attracting some 1000 members of the public in its maiden opening and receiving wide media coverage. Through the 100 photographic works exhibited, the various cultures and traditions, the plethora of man and his architectural creations, as well as the natural environment and its interactions with its habitants, are readily available for the public to be appreciated and experienced as visually-interesting art forms. The images that grace this exhibition remain iconic, offering the viewer an inside look at the photographs, the facts behind them and the stories of the men and women who took them.
This exhibition, as with other past exhibitions organized by the Society is a success and will remain a milestone in the photographic journey of the Photographic Society of Malaysia.
